Kakslauttanen is not the biggest holiday destinations in Lapland but it surely is special. We flew from Helsinki to the airport in Ivalo. From Ivalo we rented a car and drove to Kakslauttanen. Kakslauttanen is pretty easy to reach even though it's practically in the middle of nowhere.
We didn’t use any travel agency but planned our own holiday by ourselves. I think it was the right decision because everything went well and we didn’t have any bigger problems. Hotel & Igloo Village Kakslauttanen is a great place to have an easy and peaceful holiday. There are different sized log cabins which I think all are high quality and cosy as well. In the Christmas time Kakslauttanen must be an unbelievably atmospheric place! If you are going there at winter remember to take lot of warm clothes with you.
