Yllas

Yllas in Lapland, Finland, is a 718 meter high fell. It’s situated in the municipality of Kolari in western Lapland. There are two villages near Yllas: Akaslompolo on the north side and Yllasjarvi in the south. They are connected by an 11km road, around the side of the fell.

Yllas area’s marketing slogan “Yllas is number one!” is well known all over Finland. No doubt Yllas is one of the best holiday resorts in Finland. Together with Levi it’s also fastest growing tourist attractions in Finland.

Yllas is very popular cross-country and downhill skiing centre. In Yllas area there are 330km cross-country skiing tracks, 38km of which are lit. Yllas fell has fantastic downhill and snowboarding possibilities with 61 well-managed slopes together with 29 lifts. The longest slope is 3km.
